She traded the washcloth for the just-delivered tweezers, leaning in closer to pluck out splinters, dropping them one by one into the dirty water bowl. After several were removed, she leaned back in her seat frowning.
"Go get a bright light and a needle or pin, I don't want to miss anything that might be hiding in his scars or got buried into his skin. And get a dry towel too, for later. Please. Then you can rest for a bit."
She went back to slowly examining his face for the splinters she could see until her clone returned with her requests.
