Mission Report
Author: Karin
Mission Rank: B
Mission Dates: May 25 to June 3rd.
Objective: Investigate the mounting presence in Northern Whirlpool.
Mission received on May 25th. After gathering necessary supplies I set out from Uzushiogakure immediately. Travel was largely uneventful. Terrain was the biggest delay in speedy travel as it switched frequently between rivers and rocky once a fair distance away from the village.
Arrived at encampment on May 27th, late in the afternoon. Distance was maintained for twenty-four hours to study the movement of those inhabiting the camp. Those inhabiting the camp didn't look like shinobi but they moved with purpose much the way shinobi do.
Until May 30th I endeavored to determine the camps and its inhabitants purpose and intent. Members were far from forthcoming. I was able to glean through surreptitious questioning and investigating that the group is preparing for something. There was also a strong impression that they were expecting more people to arrive. When pressed for further details all those I questions grew more and more agitated and tight-lipped. Furthering my impression that they know exactly why they are there.
In an effort to gain more information on June 1st, I attempted to listen to conversations in the streets, but even there the shinobi spoke of the mundane things.
That night I was attacked. While I did not see my attackers, I believe they were a small group from the camp based on the trap employed. Out numbered I fled and was pursued until I lost them somewhere in the rocky terrain between the camp and village.
Returned to Uzushiogakure on June 3rd.
