She leaned in closer, squinting at his face as she kept picking at his face. More tiny slivers were dropped into the bowl, not even making a sound.
"Well, that's their loss. But I can see how some shinobi might find it weird to date the current Hokage. Especially if they didn't know you as well before you took office."
She paused a moment to grab a pin and use it to dig out a tiny splinter in danger of getting pushed in entirely.
"Still, it goes back to what I said in the first place about the ones who don't understand the Hokage's schedule keeps getting altered at the drop of a hat. I've been there, I know what it's like to have plans get moved up or cancelled because some emergency came up. Yeah, it sucks, but those things happen. The same would go for any medic. But it's their loss, y'know? They don't bother getting to know a charming young man and miss out. But really, it's not that hard to do quick lunch dates or stuff like that, even if you eat in your office. You can lock your door to keep out interruptions, it has a sliding lock for a reason, y'know. Now turn the other way."
Without missing a beat, she put the tweezers above the flashlight and clamped down on the pin with her lips. Her fingers gently guided his head to the other side before reclaiming their tools once she had a good angle. A few more splinters came out before she paused to shift the flashlight to the other side of her head.
"Have you tried asking out any medics? And I don't just mean Rin only, before you say anything."
