Itachi wondered how much poison was in the bento box, and then decided to be charitable. All the same, he'd eat slowly and carefully if he ate at all to make sure he didn't die stupidly or cause a national incident.

"Passing through on business," Itachi allowed with a small, carefully polite smile. "It's easier to get from here to there now that the borders are open." Itachi eyed the bento box. Refusal would be very impolite and suggest he thought someone from Ame would poison him, which wouldn't be good.
