Where: Gai's apartment
When: About three AM on January 1st
Notes: Obito had a spur of the moment decision to say happy birthday to Gai. Early.

Obito had ducked out of the party the night before early enough that he wasn't entirely sure that Gai would even be home, but that hadn't stopped his mind from rattling around in circles. It had been bothering him enough he hadn't been able to go to sleep, and he finally made his way to the other man's apartment, only hesitating a moment before ducking into one of his windows.

He made no effort to wake him, or even to alert him that he was there, aware he was breaking several levels of etiquette, and some people would declare safety as well, given how highly trained Gai was but...

Gai wouldn't hurt him even startled awake, and he'd apologize if he upset him by his approach. So he rested a hand on his chest, leaning down over the man enough he wouldn't need to raise his voice at the same time.

"Happy Birthday."

Where: Kiri and the surrounding islands- Kiri Map
When: January 5th-31st

Event Details:
Examinees do not need to be part of a team to participate in this exam.

5th: The first part consists of spreading misinformation among the candidates, and swiftly followed up by an interrogation. This test examines the ability of the candidates to recognize false leads and use them to track down reliable information. Examinees with at least marginally correct information will find themselves captured and interrogated by their true 'sources'.

Successful candidates will resist interrogation or display the ability to effectively utilize misinformation themselves.

6th-10th: The second exam will exile the candidates to one of Kirigakure's small surrounding islands. There, they'll be given a mission to complete over the course of four days. In addition, they'll need to make it off the island in fighting condition. An incomplete mission or incapacitation will result in disqualification.

28th- Opening Ceremony: The official festival begins as Kiri prepares to host the final test of the Chuunin exam. All participating countries are welcome to visit and join in the festivities.

29th-30th: Finals will be held in a public arena roughly two and a half weeks after the second exam. These one-on-one matches are selected in tournament style, and a successful match does not guarantee promotion. Rather it will be the display of good judgement and sound reason as well as strength that make up the qualities of an ideal Chuunin. Promotions will be formally announced once the exams have come to an end.

31st- Closing Ceremony: Promotions are announced and congratulations and well-wishes are exchanged. The Chuunin Exams are ever a show of strength and friendship among the Five Great Nations.

Note:
There will be a thread below for the exams, and everyone else is free to post top-level comments of their own for any visiting or general CR shenanigans in Kiri.
