Who: Kazue and Temari
When: March 15th
Where: Sunagakure
The past week and some change had been eventful or so it had felt to Kazue despite that said events had applied more directly to certain people who had become something like consistent presences in her life. Gaara, in his proper body, had been returned the village and present for several days without incident, which saw Kazue's steps lighter for the surety she had gained about his status and health since that time. That had involved a lot of circling, visual inspection, and rapid poking to ascertain for herself whether or not his defense was at its peak that had terminated in some measure of relief the extent of which she had yet to wholly realize. Even so, it continued to show in small imperceptible ways, like the energy that flared with each and every step the red-haired kunoichi took in the aftermath of a simple courier mission within Wind. It showed more prominently in others, but especially where it concerned the tanuki puppet atop her shoulder, who was now upbeat as opposed to ridden with anxiety and a tendency to sulk as it was some five days ago.
Funny, the timing of that. She had received some comment about it from a familiar face or two in passing, but she hadn't thought much of it then and she didn't think much of it as she took her leave of the office. The reply from the outpost had been delivered and her afternoon was free for her speed in seeing the task done, which left her with the question of what to do next. It was nearly lunch. Her breakfast had been spent for her efforts and it wasn't practical to train on an empty stomach, a thought interrupted by some rigorous agreement by Takkun, who was nearly dancing on her shoulder for his insistence.
"Lunch it is then," she said, and with that turned for the bustling Suna streets.
Really, the only question left to answer was the matter of where to.
