Kakashi patted the other man on the back, stifling curious emotions in his chest in favor of being the emotional designated driver. He could think about how he felt later; when he was alone, when it was dark, when he could let the walls fall without worrying that anyone might see inside. For now, he had to make sure Tenzou rested, and did so happy.

"Of course," he said brightly behind his mask and pushing the other man back from his chest to study him. "It would be reckless of me to leave you at your weakest, Tenzou."

And with that he forcibly turned the younger man on his heel, ushering him bed-ward without another word.
