Kakashi had wandered around the various stalls and gatherings for quite some time, collecting himself a reasonable haul of various produces and wares that, while good for the price, were starting to make his arms ache a little.. Not to mention his feet. He wasn't used to so much casual strolling, apparently.
He found himself a place to sit, dumping his paper bags on the floor and starting to crack his tired joints and stretch worn muscles. Despite the pain, it had been a very successful and pleasant outing. He'd taken up a few small eating challenges, exercising the practice he'd gained by repeated challenges from Gai, so his stomach was full; he'd managed to cut in some reading as he wandered, and the best part... He hadn't seen a single person he recognized.
Not that Kakashi particularly had a problem with his typical mode of company.. It was just nice to have a break - and this was almost reminiscent of his trip to Uzushio.
With all that was going on back in the close arms of his village, this was a welcome respite, and to celebrate, he took out a treasured orange book from his pouch and flipped it open to a thumbed page.
