A Royal Affair [closed]
Where: Starts in Konoha, ends in the Land of Rivers
When: October 2nd - October 14th
Notes: Mika, Kiba and two other shinobi are escorting one of the Fire Daimyo's daughters to be with her betrothed.~ [They must exercise the utmost caution on this mission or risk political disaster!]
It wasn't every day that the Daimyo requested a team from Konoha.
Mika had been a little reluctant about escorting one of his spawn, she imagined they'd be pretty stuck up. Her opinion changed completely when she saw the person in question. Quite the beauty, she definitely didn't look anything like the Daimyo!
With the team picked out and everything prepared, the shinobi stood outside the village gates as the Daimyo's daughter arrived on her carriage. As expected it was decked out with gold furnishings and other shiny ornaments. The decadence was a little unsightly, damn thing could be spotted miles away. Luckily the inside was more pleasant and toned down, otherwise the passengers would be blinded from the shiny bits. Mika entered the carriage to greet the woman they were escorting before coming back out. She motioned the team over so they could all be formally introduced.
"Ne, I expect everyone to be on their absolute best behavior. This is the Daimyo's daughter, a bad word from her and we could all face an early retirement. Okay?" She gave them all a stern look before continuing in a low voice. "This'll be a long trip, two weeks if we keep a good pace. I know the royal types can be demanding, just do whatever she asks and always smile!~" Which is exactly what Mika did when she turned and smiled very brightly as the young woman came out of the carriage.
"It's a pleasure and honor to serve you today, Sora-hime." Mika bowed and offered a hand to the lady as she stepped out.
