Kankuro actually balked for a second at what his brother was suggesting. He wouldn't admit that the stare had been putting him on edge, but he was unable to stop the exhale he gave as soon as Gaara broke eye contact, and even more at a loss to control the grunt of surprised confusion at his following words.
Then again.. Kankuro really had no plans or ideas of direction now that his duties were done for the day, so he supposed sight-seeing through Gaara's exposure wasn't such a bad thing. Especially if it meant grilled meats.
