It wasn't often that Sasuke got a chance to take a close look at other clan techniques, let alone experiment with one. That wasn't the only reason he'd decided to dedicate this afternoon to Shino, but it was certainly one of several: as weird as it had been to imagine at first, the skin-crawling sensation of watching Shino's kikaichuu meander over his body had given away to curiosity.

That Shino was willing to be the subject of such curiosity was several marks in his favour in Sasuke's book.

At present, they were hidden in a corner of the Uchiha gardens, out of sight and at least partially out of earshot thanks to a small ornamental waterfall burbling right next to their alcove. Sasuke had brought a blank scroll and some pens, just in case they needed to write anything down, and had found himself a comfortable spot on a sun-warmed rock.

"How do you think we should start?" He addressed his partner-in-science, expression serious.
