Naoki blinked once when he realized Uchiha Fugaku was coming towards them, but he smiled and nodded politely. "I keep pulling missions outside the Land of Water, Uchiha-sama." He said without missing a beat. He could also practically hear Kisame asking him about how he knew the head of the Uchiha clan later in the day. "Please allow me to introduce Hoshigaki Kisame-san, of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of Kirigakure."

They were casual acquaintances at best, and Naoki hadn't expected to encounter the man.
