Kisame almost laughed out loud at the reactions. But it did remind him that before she'd become a Kiri-nin, she had been one of the nobility. Still was, technically. That this fiasco put her in the direct line of succession again was interesting. Kisame found he didn't mind the idea of her being their new daimyo. It would be like a breath of air after a long time under water.
When the would-be interrogators fled, Kisame waited another beat before speaking up. "I think you have a point, Sephiroth-san. How dishonest of them, eh?"
