Who: Tsutaki
When: Early afternoon
Where: Otogakure, greenhouse
Notes: Open to all Otogakure residents
Over the past decade, experimentation had given Tsutaki a number of plant-like characteristics. Some were beneficial, others less so. She was immune to nearly all toxins, with the notable exception of those that doubled as potent weedkiller. Tsutaki could down a bottle of undiluted poison with no ill effects if she was so inclined. All bodies emitted pheromones to an extent, but hers were more potent and smelled almost like a mild perfume custom-designed for her body chemistry. She had some measure of control over them, though it had taken a while to get to that point.
Her unusual body chemistry was advantageous in the ninja world, but it wasn’t without its downsides. Being plant-like meant she actually required more sunlight and water than an average person to function properly. Given how many missions required either night activity or concealing oneself in shadows, Tsutaki went out of her way to get as much sunlight as she possibly could when she wasn’t on a mission. If a mission could be accomplished just as well in broad daylight, that’s when she operated.
While the Otogakure greenhouse wasn’t strictly Tsutaki’s domain, it was where she spent a disproportionate amount of her time, and there was an entire restricted section where she conducted her research on plants. The oversized and very much sentient venus fly traps that she called her “babies” were just one of several reasons why very few people were allowed in the area without her permission and supervision. Orochimaru, of course, was one of them, and could override any permission requests she’d approved or denied.
Upon hearing someone approach, she made a quick note about what she’d last worked on and headed over to greet the person. It was best to get there before they crossed the threshold into the restricted area, given where the venus flyrtraps were situated.
