[Closed] A day in Ame
Where: Amegakure
When: February 4th
Notes: Nagato takes a moment to just spend time withhis son Juugo.
It was oddly quiet, with Konan out in the country checking up on preparations being made. It left him a bit restless, and with the rainfall so steadily heavy it wasn't as though he needed to handle anything there. Everything was on schedule in setting up the country's defenses, and really that meant he had little to do, for the moment.
It had him seeking out his foundling, deciding to see how he was doing, given all the visitors that the village had had... and the fact another one was due any time in the next week or so. Better to warn the boy about that while he was talking to him.

On spotting Nagato his smile broadened and he walked the last few steps with a bit of a spring in them. "Hello."
Even though they lived and worked so closely, it was always good to see the man who'd turned his life from horror into something wonderful. Juugo basked in the feel of his chakra, so much immediate when not dispersed in the rain or through his earrings.

"Mm, I helped shore up some of the roofs today. The owners were very happy that I helped."
It was said almost shyly. Having people pleased at his strength and his gift never seemed to grow old. It was always a little bit of a surprise.

And in some ways checking on Juugo ensured that he remembered food for himself too.

But Juugo had to stop and think, and as if on cue, his stomach rumbled. When had he eaten last? Breakfast, he thought. And if he ate with Nagato, he could make sure Nagato ate enough. It was a good plan.
"I would like some dinner. I think I forgot to eat lunch."

Juugo doesn’t say anything, content to walk in silence and bask in Nagato’s presence. There’s a small smile on his face and everything is angled slightly in Nagato’s direction, like a plant turning towards the sun.

But there was a sense of anticipation. Maybe Nagato had something to tell him? Well, the news would come when it came. Juugo smiled at Nagato and relaxed, waiting.

Juugo had noticed, after all, that a lot of the visitors lately had been from that village. Maybe Nagato liked them. Juugo liked the one he'd gotten his courage up to talk to, at least. Sasuke had been nice. Maybe this one would be nice too, and maybe Juugo would feel up to talking to them. Juugo smiled at Nagato as he sipped his tea, waiting for more information.

“Have you met her before?”

"Then I think I'll like her too. When is she coming?"

But if this girl wasn't fire, the rain shouldn't feel as stifling to her. Nagato probably knew what her natures were. "Do you know if she's fire?"

"I will make sure to show her hospitality." That was the right word, right? Juugo was pretty sure. He scrunched up his face then nodded to himself. He was sure.

If a little innocent, but that was to be expected.

"Good. I can't wait until she gets here."

If Nagato was so happy, he definitely had to meet this one, he decided. Maybe he could check in on her and make sure she was comfortable a few times, just in case.

Juugo didn't feel the need to elaborate. Nagato knew he'd been working on transforming himself so that he could fly with his friends. It was clumsy still, but he was learning from them ways of making it better.

"I'll do that. Maybe she can show me a little about how she does it."

Juugo liked making Konan happy. It was almost as good as making Nagato happy, and having a plan to improve his flying was always good. He liked being able to go where his friends went.
