[ Closed, April 4th]
Who: Iruka and Itachi
Where: Their shared home
When: Day of April 4th
What: Busy schedules loosen up to allow the pair a short time together.
It was still a little surreal, for this to be his home. Sure, he'd spent plenty of time in here, enough to feel at ease, but something about this being his permanent abode (lest the pair opt to move) hadn't quite completely settled just yet. It was a good feeling, though. They'd both predictably been busy, but now Itachi had some rare time off, landing face first into the sheets, opting for a short nap.

He hadn't really had time to worry about that, and was still settling into the slightly cuddlier concept of Itachi, something that he could use at the moment. He peered at his bed as a sweep of the apartment located Itachi, and he leaned in the doorway, examining the way the man was curled up asleep. It really wasn't big enough for two, the whole apartment wasn't, really, but it would do for the time being.
He decided to go over and sit by Itachi, trying hard not to jostle him enough to wake him, and walking heavily enough he didn't set off any mental alarms by 'sneaking'.

He peers at him through heavy eyelids, the bottoms turning up as he manages a small, warm smile, asking with his eyes alone. Staying for a bit? He can make some space if that's the case.

"Mm, you weren't being very silent." Which was good, he'd nothing to worry about.
"It was tiring." As evidenced by his need to nap afterwards. "But not bad." He shuts his eyes again, enjoying the hand in his hair with a light hum.

There's a long breath. Content, relaxed.

"You wouldn't let me go hungry, ah?" He mentions, playfully.

He follows, after he gets a stretch in, tying his hair back so it's out of his way.

He liked compliments like that. Suited to his actual disposition. He slices the offered food with care and precision, awaiting to hand it back when ready. "And you? Anything interesting?"

Or rather, his view on how they should be handled differed from majority opinion.

"Mm, it also involves suspending my beliefs, to allow others to offer their own. Suppose sometimes it leads to a better outcome."

"Guilty as charged."

"Dinner should be ready in just a moment, go sit."

It was good he could self justify sleeping now, and not feel guilty about it, like he was wasting time he could be doing something else.
He serves himself well, knowing he'll likely end up with a second helping.

"I wouldn't be opposed to being taught." This way, he didn't have to entirely depend on Iruka being present to be fed, considering their busy schedules.

"Mm. I like that." His smile is further agreement as he continues eating, though he stops occasionally to give him fond glances.

Not that he'd say as much. Most days.

But he doesn't mind being watched, not by Iruka, at least.
"I'll have to get new books soon." he mentions, as it seems Iruka's not finished with his own meal yet.

Ah, was he in trouble...? "You did." Comes the response, perhaps a bit careful.
