Handling the work of the Mizukage was both very similar to and so very different than being head of Cypher. Kisame hadn't wanted to lead, still didn't, but for Kiri, he would shoulder the burden until a suitable candidate came along. And could be thoroughly vetted by himself and Nanako, of course!

That was what helped the most. Sharing the responsibilities made leadership less... trying. But Kisame couldn't fault either of them when they needed a break, and now was Nanako's turn. There was quite a bit more work to be done before the morning, but right now, he could handle most of it himself. Just... Well, he hadn't had a decent meal in far too long today. The work was more varied, but it seemed like more piled on each time he even thought of taking a break to eat. (Work could wait for training, of course, but it was slightly more important than eating.)
