Shishito Nanako's Day Off
Who: Nanako, and you!
Where: Around Kirigakure
When: Mid-June
Notes: A leisurely day of shopping, training, and who knows what else for one of the new military dictators. Feel free to pick a specific setting
She had grown too used to life in the bowels of T&I; that was the first thing she noticed.
Nanako had become accustomed to artificial light, to seeing plants only in the greenhouse she had requisitioned years ago, to spending her days behind a desk or over a bloody, broken body begging for mercy. The last point hadn't changed very much, but there was something tantalizing about having the freedom to walk the streets again. Arguably, she was even more of a target for elimination now than she had been as the Head of her Department, but that hardly dampened her mood.
If anything, it was thrilling; laying waste to the silk-swathed trash that had dared to try and make a scape goat out of her dear Secchan had brought back fond memories of the war. She kept herself in excellent condition, naturally, but there was just no substitute for proper carnage and a straight fight to the death. She had been swept into Intelligence work almost as soon as she was ranked high enough, and while she had loved her old job...
Well. There was something to be said for being able to drift in and out of shops, and to be able to take her Darling to a proper training field again.

seeing her off
That was what helped the most. Sharing the responsibilities made leadership less... trying. But Kisame couldn't fault either of them when they needed a break, and now was Nanako's turn. There was quite a bit more work to be done before the morning, but right now, he could handle most of it himself. Just... Well, he hadn't had a decent meal in far too long today. The work was more varied, but it seemed like more piled on each time he even thought of taking a break to eat. (Work could wait for training, of course, but it was slightly more important than eating.)
"If you get the time, would you mind picking up some curried shrimp on your way back?"

"Shall I stop by that tea shop near the confectionary store and pick up a new tin of tea as well?" Goodness knew they went through pots by the hour, these days.

“Maybe two! It will save us another trip in a few days. Shame that little errands like that are a waste of a genin’s talents.”
Kisame was reluctant to assign that kind of busy work mission, when there were plenty of D-Class missions that would actually help improve skills in a measurable way. Hmm, maybe there were some civilians willing to take on those kinds of errands. They could give bonuses for speed, volume, and efficiency in running fetching tasks, and that would certainly see some increase in skills.
Around
She had wanted to become strong and that hasn't changed. When she spotted Nanako she recognized her, it was hard not to. Yuffie missed the days that she was blissfully unaware of who people were. She sighed softly bringing her arms down to her sides as she passed the woman.
"What cha doing out today?"
no subject
Well, it was a luxury for her, sadly.

Her arms swung back and forth at her sides as she continued. "I was going to see about getting in some training." Since she hasn't had many chances too lately.
