Notes: Basically, Nagato's health has been improving lately so you'll be able to catch him out and about pretty much anywhere in the country, be it borders or around the city. He's always accompanied by his Deva path, and you might get said path first. In other words, hello, come get trolled.

Nagato had been restless lately. The months before this, it hadn't been such a worrying thing, just him consolidating his energy to reverse the damage he'd done to himself by overextending, but now... now he just wanted to be out. Out where he could interact more directly with the contact rain in his country, where he could watch his people without needing to send his paths out to do it for him...

This meant that people who had never really gotten to meet him before, in spite of having been in Ame since he'd taken control, were finally getting the chance to see him face to face, instead of simply being in contact with his paths.

"Ah. No longer am I allowed into many politics outside of Konoha's clans, so do forgive me for not seeing the world through clear eyes." She tilts her head to the side, curious but unlikely to pry anymore gossip.

"Considering how much your Uchiha leader put into things, I would think you would credit the boy more, even if he has nothing to do with Ame politics." He shook his head, looking over and regarding her. He had seen enough Uchiha to know one when he met one, after all.

"Mm, maybe, maybe not. He does have a lot to learn still." She really shouldn't be talking like this, with the likelihood of her words accidentally revealing her connection as Uchiha Matriarch...

He laughed then, giving her a sideways look at somehow knowing her village's politics better than her. It wasn't as though they'd been some great secret, after all. "Clearly you aren't in touch with politics at all these days then. You might want to fix that before you make some horrific mistake."

She waves his bout of amusement off with ease, rolling her eyes at his sideways glance, "Perhaps one day, when the Elders of the Clans pass away into eternity. For now, I'm content with not having the burden of knowledge weighing down consistently, honestly."

"Hmmm maybe. It's certainly one way to not be a liability when outside your village."

[mikotouchiha]

"What you won't know won't hurt you." Her lips curve upwards into another wry smile, "Till it stabs you in the back. Either way, I'm not truly bothered."

He puffed a soft breath that was almost a laugh, though a touch on the dismissive side. "So it is then."

"Amegakure produces the strangest of shinobi...next to Konoha, of course." She muses under her breath, being sure to dodge a branch that had been in the way of her intended path.

"Does it?" He looked sideways at her. "Unless you have a spy I know there is no way for you to actually know if that's true or speculation."
