Notes: Basically, Nagato's health has been improving lately so you'll be able to catch him out and about pretty much anywhere in the country, be it borders or around the city. He's always accompanied by his Deva path, and you might get said path first. In other words, hello, ~~come get trolled~~.

Nagato had been restless lately. The months before this, it hadn't been such a worrying thing, just him consolidating his energy to reverse the damage he'd done to himself by overextending, but now... now he just wanted to be out. Out where he could interact more directly with the contact rain in his country, where he could watch his people without needing to send his paths out to do it for him...

This meant that people who had never really gotten to meet him before, in spite of having been in Ame since he'd taken control, were finally getting the chance to see him face to face, instead of simply being in contact with his paths.

Abel crouched there for a few minutes, getting use to the strange weight at his back before slowly standing up. He staggered slightly with one hand coming up to his head as a brief wave of dizziness passed over him.

"Right, need to remember that they use a lot of blood to form," Abel said with a wry grin.

He considered a moment, then reached over and put a hand on his shoulder, shoving a mess of chakra into the man to compensate for the blood loss. It wasn't the same... but it should help a little.

Abel shuddered and rose to his feet. He wasn't aware that his eyes had shifted until they were a solid red color but he frowned slightly. Poking a finger in his mouth, he discovered he suddenly had fangs.

"Well this is new," he said, a bit surprised he wasn't lisping or slurring his words. Must be connected to the wings. Fangs would definitely make getting blood easier.

Well. Okay then. He looked him over, then held out his hand, giving him a patient look. "I want to see if you have any loss of control with the new additions. I promise I can get you off me easily enough. take some blood."

Nodding once, Abel walked over to Nagato and gently sliced his hand with the kunai. Holding his other hand above the cut, he reached out for that crimson liquid, and it streaked up to impact his skin, quickly being absorbed.

Unable to help it, Abel chuckled slightly. "You're rather tasty, my lord."

"I a unique, I would expect nothing less." It was a murmur, and he held still, relaxed and obviously confident that he could pull away before Abel managed to actually weaken him. He didn't, however, do so immediately, seeing if Abel would decide it first. "I didn't realize you worked on a sense of taste for this."

Abel closed his fingers, stopping the flow and backed up a few polite steps. His Lord's blood had revitalized him quite nicely. "It is less of actual taste and more the sensation if that makes any sense."

It was difficult to explain actually to someone who didn't experience it first hand and could understand it from his point of view. He tried moving his new wings and grinned when they obeyed. It was going to take practice, but he would learn how to fight and possibly fly with them.

"I have sensor abilities. I understand the strangeness of another sense in that manner." His gaze drifted to the wings, studying them carefully as he settled back on his heels. He felt tired, for the first time in a while, and it weighed on him.

Abel glanced at Nagato before truly looking at him. "May I escort you to your residence, my lord?" He ducked his head slightly in respect. "Forgive me for saying so, but you look worn."

He concentrated on the new wings, and with a delighted hum, he figured out how to dismiss them. His shirt hung off him with the back completely shredded, but the wings had been absorbed back into his body. The only sign of their appearance were two fresh scars on his back, running down it on each side of his spine where they had emerged.

"It's been some time since I've given chakra to anyone. I'm not... properly used to it anymore it appears." It was a murmur, and his expression was a bit wry. "I've gotten used to a better pool recently."

He waved it off, then tilted his head. "You may escort me."

Abel bowed to Nagato before quickly collecting his scattered metal weapons. Once they were secured about him again, he fell into step beside his lord, more for back up than the thought of Nagato actually needing him to fight for him.

"If it would help, you may take from me again,' he offered, holding out a hand.

"I won't, but thank you all the same. You need your rest and it would be no good to leave you overdrawn."

Abel inclined his head at that answer, not pushing the issue.

"Thank you for your help in my training."

He hummed lowly, then nodded once, glancing over. "It was of interest."

Abel bowed slightly to him, and fell silent for the rest of the way back to Nagato's residence.
