Sephiroth knew people were following him after he left. After all, he'd made quite the spectacle of himself. So he slowed his steps, and wove his way throught he allowed parts of the village for visitors... and waited to see who caught up to him first.

His hand had darted out without hesitation to keep her from holding contact overly long, curling gloved fingers over her shoulder as he turned his head, staring down at her with sharp, feline shaped green eyes. "No?"

"No." She steps back shrugging off his hand, no need to let the contact linger now that she was steady. "At least in the sense that I don't make it a habit to get knocked into people on the regular basis." She flips a swath of her hair back over her shoulder but otherwise outwardly unperturbed.

He ran his gaze over her, then scoffed softly, letting his hand drop to his side. "It would not be the first time in my life someone had used such a tactic in my presence. Genuine clumsiness is rarely the reason."

[gentledheart]

She made a face. This time really was the result of genuine clumsiness. She didn't have much of a reason to get personal and honestly she'd be more stealthy if she did. "If that was really the goal do you think I'd be so obvious about it?"

"Mmm, that depends on what you were attempting to accomplish. Though I can tell the difference, typically. You didn't hold the lean long enough for it to be deliberate."

[gentledheart]

She blinks at him. What even? "Um, thanks for agreeing with me?"

He gave a careless shrug. "I didn't imply to the contrary, you merely misunderstood my initial words."

[gentledheart]

Or you don't speak clearly. But she's not going to go there, right now. "Right." She pauses a moment studying him, more in an effort to see if she did any damage to his clothes or something. "Is everything still in one piece?"

[silverterror]

"I'm not that easily harmed." He waved it off, narrowing his eyes slightly at her. "I presume you meant something broader."

[gentledheart]

"That's good." She was glad to hear it that she hadn't dirtied his rather shiny boots. "I was a little worried I might have trampled on your feet."

[silverterror]

Of all things to worry about... How shallow. "Hardly. I would have set you away much more quickly."

[gentledheart]

Well it was better than not asking if he was alright at all. "My apologies for having manners."

[silverterror]

He blinked, then a smirk flit over his face. "Better."

[gentledheart]

"You're welcome?" Now might be a good time for her to turn and march purposefully in the opposite direction. This guy is weird.

He didn't give chase, instead simply turning his own way. They'd meet again.
