Who: Karin and Kakashi.
When: January 16th, early afternoon.
What: Puppy time.
Where: The cold sandy beach of Uzushio.


Karin was walking on air. She still hadn’t come down from her success on the tenth. She and her teammates were in the final round. They’d made it. All they needed to do now was make it through the matches and all would be well.

In preparation for that, she had gone home after her shift to get Kazuki and Chikako in order to work a little on the beach. She wouldn’t actually be using them in the finals, but it wasn’t too early to at least get used to working together even if it was for something simple like basics of tracking and teamwork.

And the beach was as good a place as any to work on the basics. And it was an open space, intentionally so. She hoped that maybe being out there with the pups would catch a certain Konoha shinobi’s attention while her aunt didn’t need him. It would be a great way to cap off her week to spend some time cooing over the pups with Kakashi. For now though she was going to run up and down the beach with Chikako while they hunted up her brother.

When: BGS 6 August 17th, early evening before dinner.
What: Meeting one of her uncle’s students.
Where: A park in Konoha.


It wasn’t unusual for one of her uncle’s former students to stop by for dinner. She’d already met Rin and Kakashi. It's only been six weeks since Karin left Grass Country to live with her aunt. She was still getting used to the strange place and sounds. To the way their Academy was incredibly different from the one she’d attended since she was five.

The giant scarred boy- man, was an unknown and while she knew she was perfectly safe, she still spent the first ten minutes he was there watching him from around the corner of a doorway to the main hallway. And why was Uncle Minato’s female student the only one not hiding one of her eyes? Did the boys gouge each others’ eyes out or something in the past?
