Perks of the secret friend [Iruka and Itachi]

The attention Itachi gets when he finally falls ill can be overwhelming. It seems to be traveling around Konoha, so no doubt with his weak immune system and his extended stay in his home village, Itachi came down with the flu. Mother found him nearly keeling over in the process of making himself tea and demanded he lay back down in bed.

He hadn't gotten any real rest since. The household was busy. Between Mother, Sasuke, and Shisui popping in, he was always being asked if he was alright, if he needed anything, or presented with something else to try to swallow.

Dusk was only marginally better, with everyone else prepping for bed. And now the footsteps down the hall started again...

Notes: Iruka hunts Kakashi down to go all sensei on him. With writing supplies.

This was ridiculous. How many times did he have to send a report back before the man worked on his handwriting? Yes, he'd only been the unfortunate to receive a report from the jounin a handful of times, usually not being on duty during the times needed to get them, but he never seemed to see any truly improved versions. Yes, the man took his time more when he redid them, but that only made them marginally legible. It made him wonder if the man had ever been taught to properly hold a brush sometimes.

So today he'd decided, while he had a few hours of free time, to set about making his life easier in the future. He was hunting a Hatake. Even without the man actively avoiding him, something that would require said man knowing he was looking for him in the first place, it still took nearly an hour to track him down. Where he found him was far less than ideal, being outside first of all, but that was fixable.

"Hello Hatake-san, do you have some time?"
