Who: Sakura Haruno and Obito Uchiha
When: December 25th, Year 68
Where: The Hokage office
Notes: War is coming. Keeping secrets from the Hokage is no longer an option.

...She couldn't say that she entirely agreed with her teacher's decision. She also couldn't say she didn't argue with it until she was given sufficient reason for it. Even if war was on the horizon (and that it was closer didn't mean it wasn't always on the horizon: if her current master knew one was coming now, her original teacher never stopped expecting one) she remained nervous about sharing something so...precarious.

It wasn't that she wanted to endanger anyone potentially under her command, or anyone else in Konoha for that matter. It was just that she wanted to endanger Shisui even less. It was possible, even if she had the sense not to admit that, she'd rather endanger very many people than him.

She wasn't unaware that it was an incorrect priority to have as a shinobi, though, and she wasn't about to defy her master's wisdom and insistence on this matter. It wasn't like he couldn't tell the hokage himself if she refused, anyway. (She'd wonder why he didn't do it himself, but it was probably because he thought too kindly of what the Hokage thought of her simply due to the promotion)

She frowned slightly, settling her nerves finally, and gave the door a firm knock. She paused a moment, long enough to determine no one else was present in the room, and then quietly pressed through the door into the room.

"...Lord Hokage. I apologize for interrupting you, but the matter I wish to discuss shouldn't be done over paper."

Where: Konoha, from atop the Hokage monument.
When: June 3rd, noon.
Who: A jounin of the Intelligence department.
Notes: The war may have started, but the damages are only just beginning.

The act of running laps around the village was not a new one, and was, in fact, something that numerous shinobi did on a fairly regular basis. Because of this, one more person making it part of their training routine when they were in the village was nothing unusual, or even really worth notice. The fact that the person in question was decently respected among his peers just meant that his movements went unremarked the day he started running up over the top of the Hokage monument instead. It was a slightly less taken path, given the steep angle, but for those who wanted a challenge, it was well known as being an excellent route.

This day, to those that saw him, would seem like any other as he vanished up to the top of the mountain on a solitary run, making his way along the heads of the Hokages. That the timing was carefully planned to not coincide with most others and their training was important, and the fact that as he reached the third Hokage's head there was no one even remotely close to him was... excellent.

At that point, he stopped running, senses open to the village around him even as he unpacked seal after seal, making sure to touch each explosive note with chakra on his fingers. It didn't take long, he'd primed them all before his run, and then the lack of wind on this particular day, as well as the blue skies, showed just how perfect it was.

A set of seals had a wind jutsu being used, forceful enough to sent the papers flying over the village like a hailstorm of confetti, but careful enough that the seals weren't damaged in the process.

Then, the explosions started, each landing piece of paper being followed by a percussive boom.

Suffice to say that the man didn't linger, escaping swiftly away to meet his rendezvous beyond the village boundaries. It wouldn't do to stick around when his coworkers realized who it had to have been, because his life was going to be used on much better things than that. Perhaps, even, the hidden villages would stop losing their traction if the alliance got what they wanted out of this.

Konoha would thank him for it, in the end.

Note: The chunin exam post will go up as soon as all details are resolved and those attending for testing will be expected to be there by the afternoon of the 3rd as the exam will start on the 4th. Any Konohas thus participating would have most likely left the village by this point, even if just to jump the queue on the travel seal early that morning instead of traveling over land.

There will be extensive damages! Many rooftops will have been blown apart, collapsing, and the injuries will be widespread. This happened in the middle of the school day and the Academy is close to the monument, so there will be injured students along with everyone else. Enjoy the chaos!

Where: Academy and surrounding areas.
When: Starting just after noon on the 3rd, goes all day.
Who: Anyone who wanders in
Notes: Iruka had not planned to cover explosive tags today.

The first explosion had come from the far end of the building, and hadn't immediately set off any alarms. Another teacher might have had a mishap while teaching something about sealing.

The second explosion had all of the students tense, and the third had them hurrying out of their desks as he waved them in. Just in time too, because it wasn't a moment later that there was another boom, just overhead, and some of the recently vacated seats had rubble blown into them. It wouldn't have killed anyone, that he could tell, but he didn't know how many more were coming, and he wasn't going to risk the safety of the kids, even as more explosions sounded from beyond the Academy walls.

It was bad, the whole situation was very bad, and he snatched up one of the girls when another blast knocked her off her feet, keeping track to make sure that everyone was with him as he hurried them to the underground parts of the building. It was rarely used for anything but storage, but if the explosions were all coming from the roof, it would be the safest place until he was sure that they'd stopped.

The kids resisted staying put, of course, and as soon as he made sure everyone was uninjured and would not leave the area, he hurried out to help the other teachers as well. His kids would be okay, but he needed to get outside, and make sure that the people out there didn't need help too.

Some of the younger students had been scheduled for Taijutsu practice around that time, and he had no idea how bad it would be. The teacher in charge of them was new, and when he got out there, he was right to be concerned. It was chaos. And not just at the Academy either.
