What: There's a good chance that the reason Sasuke hasn't much questioned his own clan is because his bff's clan is so much more messed up.

He has to resist the urge to sigh, because of course, Hinata is the eldest and slated for politics -- he knows this. There's still a part of him that wishes they could simply stick one to the elders, but he chalks it up to having grown up with Naruto and sets the voice aside.

"I'll remember," he promises, though he's already mentally sorting through where he'll need to start in the hospital's dusty archives. For now, though, he looks at Hinata more closely. "We'll figure something out. Don't stress yourself needlessly over it in the meantime."

He offers her his arm, inclining his head towards the exit of the small park: a clear invitation to take it and head out into the eyes of the village. "For now, show them you're not afraid."

She smiles. Leave it to Sasuke to tell her not to stress about something that was so big and nasty as far as she could see. It was the most unwanted thing between her and Neji, but for the time being they had to deal with it.

"Alright, I'll try not to." She says with a sigh and takes the offered arm.

For now she'd take small forms of rebellion. And walking the streets arm in arm with him was one that she could and would do without much worry. For once the fact that it might stir the gossip mill didn't fill her with dread but excitement. Let them talk and speculate until the news broke to the village at large. At least it would give the elders a little something to potentially worry about for a little while. "With you at my side how could I be afraid?"
