Oh no, not again |:
Who: Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Obito
When: Sometime after Kakashi's birthday and recent events, late September-ish?
Where: Shisui's place. For a change >_> If Obito shows up...
Summary: ....Shisui wants to talk. Again.
He'd left Obito a message earlier, asking him if it would be alright to meet up later that night. He'd also specified a time: 7:00PM, which is about three hours earlier than he expects Obito to show up. At least 7:00PM would guarantee him a visit before midnight? (Such is Shisui's logic when it comes to scheduling around Obito-time~) Regardless of how late he expected the Hokage to show up, Shisui had also put together a quick dinner.
Perhaps they'd both be in better spirits over a full stomach when they went into discussion mode this time? Because Shisui had a few things to talk to Obito about. And update him on other things.
...This dinner probably was also an attempt to apologize for how last time's meeting had gone. Nothing too fancy, though. Shisui couldn't cook fancy.

And he sincerely hoped this wasn't going to be another grunge session of any kind, he wasn't sure he could deal with that too.

"Woah!" Guess it must have been a rather surprising event after all for Shisui to end up putting his free arm through the neck hole-- "You're early!"
...Shisui no.

He's pretty sure he had some pants washed in with the latest batch of laundry he did...

"I ran into Rin the other day." Might as well talk about good things first.

He didn't keep on that tact though, instead answering the question. "But yeah, hospital, she's just settling in."

"I see. I take it things ought to be going pretty smoothly in Uzu then." If they were having their shinobi return...
He went back to making them tea. "Oi I forgot-- sugar or no?" Shisui literally drank sugar-water. He'd forgotten what Obito drank.

He set about stirring, the sound of the spoon clanging softly against the sides of the mug.
"Did you manage to figure out who-- you know..." His voice trailed off for a moment then. "Attacked Adela." Softer now.

He brought Obito's tea over to him. No tray, nothing. Just you know-- the mug.

Still, he gnawed at the spot even as he took his own mug to his seat.
There was silence whilst he thought, mulling over details that seemed trivial on the day; details he wished he would have paid more attention to. But there was no going back, obviously. No point in wishing things undone. But perhaps he could help, he thought.
"That brings me to another issue. But-- before I jump to that: Do you suppose they could have been within the village and then followed her out?"

But there was another moment of silence as Shisui brought his mug up to his lips to sip on his so-called diabetes-inducing tea. "One has to ask who stands to gain from this." Konoha had many enemies, he knew, despite the friendly faces they all put on during every diplomatic meeting.
He lifts his gaze up to the Hokage once more. "And... the council? How are they taking this?" It was here that Shisui worried. As much as he didn't want to let doubt encroach this seemingly happy time and ruin it for him, he couldn't shake off the feeling that people were still not content. What if it was just a plot to overthrow the only Uchiha who'd not only been selected for, but also allowed to be Hokage? Unspoken words wrote themselves all over his expression, though.

He's standing in a moment, and pacing over to the window, peering out through the blinds just to make sure no one was nearby. Not that he'd turned off the ability to sense-- but this was Shisui, overly cautious.
"I've been working on that assignment you gave me a while back."
