It's Party Time!

When: February 10.
Notes: Party log. Messages were sent to every person Hinata (and Natsumi?) could think of that Obito would want to see at his birthday party.

Keeping a party secret from the Hokage was like keeping a secret from her father. If given the slightest hint that something was up he would be all over it. Needless to say Hinata had kept the planning crew to herself and one Uchiha Natsumi. The older kunoichi becoming her partner in crime, and more than willing to take the food preparation out of Hinata’s hands and prepare a very lovely cake for the surprise party.

The party wouldn’t be fancy, just a gathering of friends and family members to her sensei in a training ground. The trick however was getting him to come while everyone else gathered. As such Hinata was left with the rather unenviable task of coming up with a fabulous tale to drag Obito out and to the party. Pity too because that cake looked fabulous.

"It wasn't a big deal," She mumbled, her fingers absently touching at the bandage around her neck. It was just covering a bruise from the chain, but it was still there to keep soothing salve there - and to hide the bruise from sight. Her head still kind of ached and was tender from the hit as well, but overall she's better.

"It shouldn't have happened to start with... A-Anyway, just take your present."

... He already did, but she meant for him to open it.

"What? I'm not allowed to worry?" He smiled at her though, dipping his head to look at the present with interest as he carefully started to unwrap it. He really hadn't expected presents today.

"You're not giving the medi-nin a lot of faith if you still were, I was cleared two days ago..."

"I'm not worried about that. I'm sure that more than just your body got thrown around, right? But you're looking better, so I have nothing to worry about."

He stared at the gift for a long moment. "These are very nice."

Adela only frowned at him, blinking a couple of times as she felt her face heat up a little. She wanted to ask, but then he looked at the knives, complimented her work... "I hope they serve you well, Hokage-Sama."

Granted, she didn't think they wouldn't but she might as well do that for him. After that she turned to leave without another word, briefly glancing around at the party but not exactly keen on staying either.

"Hey Adela-san? Thank you. I hope you have fun here before you hurry back to work."

Aah... "I... Just came by to drop off your gift, Hokage-Sama. Don't worry about it."

"Still... it's a party, so have fun, okay? Consider it a bonus present, for me?"

"I dunno what I'd even do here... I don't really like parties," It was a murmur as she glanced away from Obito, scratching at her cheek in an attempt to try and ease her own nerves.

"Hmm, well, the best cook in the Uchiha clan made the food, so I'd say get some of that before you leave, yeah?"

Crap, she was feeling a bit more trapped then. It took her a second before she shook her head again, "I don't want to impose."

Really she just wanted to get out of there and wasn't worried about imposing in the least, but shh.

He waved toward the food. "Go on. You're eager to go right? Try the food before you do."

"I'm not that hungry, Hokage-Sama," And it wasn't a lie, at least not a complete one. After the other day she still had nausea spells, but it wasn't anything unusual - at least, that's what the medi-nin had told her. But that wasn't the real reason behind her loss of appetite, more that she had already seen who else was there. And... She wasn't ready to really talk about what had happened just yet.

"It's your choice, but you'll be missing out." His tone was soft, but his eyes were watchful, maybe a bit knowing.

... God damn it. She sighed, her eye twitching as she felt that stare on her before she made her way over to the buffet table. Admittedly she also mumbled something about Obito being a pain in the ass while she did, though only loudly enough for him to hear. She still didn't want to stick around for too long, though.
