The comment made Yamato wonder what he looked like; he'd been a little lax around mirrors as of late, skirting around reflective surfaces in the hopes of abating a little of what he feared, it wasn't a perfect science.
He glanced away, folding his arms and leaning against the door jam in what he hoped was a more casual display than he actually felt and shrugged a shoulder.

"Sleep's been a little harder to find recently.."

He jerked his head to the side of the couch he'd cleared and gave him a lopsided smile. "You gonna stay over there or what? I have a bunch of couch here."

The smile was met with a tired look; emotions torn between accepting and fleeing, even now. A part of Yamato still smarted at having Obito witness his loss of control, at having been the one to prompt it, but rest had been scarce and he was so tired of fighting off sleep..

The lure of the couch finally won out though and he sank gratefully into the soft surface, knee pulled up to wrap his arm around in a loose hold. He gestured to the file with his chin, drawing the attention away from himself in a bid for normalcy.

"Anything I should know about?"

"Probably." Hr sighed deeply, looking tired for a moment, but he rallied quickly, it vanishing under the surface. "Things are picking up out there."

He shook his head, examining him thoughtfully. Then whatever he was thinking was put aside. "I don't think that's why you came to see me though."
