He blinked, then leaned a little closer, laughing as he realized his mistake. "Ah! In that case we clearly have more than adequate tea, now don't we?"

[gentledheart]

"Yes we do." She smiles over the rim of her cup and then lowers it back to the table.

[senseiofthesea]

"I probably should have asked what you were drinking before asking for a whole nother pot shouldn't I?" He shook his head on a small grin though, clearly amused with himself. "Tell me about how you've been doing?"

[gentledheart]

"It's alright. I'm sure we can drink at least one of the pots." If the worst of the damage done was that they both ordered a pot of the same tea, they were in good shape. "I've been doing well. Training mostly and mission where I can." She shrugs like this wasn't remotely out of the ordinary.

"Has Obito-sama been a good choice of sensei for you? That team wasn't the one I initially had in mind for you." Though, he could admit that it seemed to have treated her well.

[gentledheart]

The way she nearly lights up should probably be all the answer he needs on that subject, but she nods quickly. "He's been great. I've learned so much that another sensei probably wouldn't think to teach me." And he's kind of sort of her other best friend but that wasn't something she needed to voice publicly, even in Konoha now was it?

He blinked at the reaction, then his smile turned fond. "I'm happy it worked out well for you then."

[gentledheart]

"It did." she grins. It had worked out really well for her.

[senseiofthesea]

"That's good. Really good actually. It's always good when worries of that nature are disproven."

[gentledheart]

"I've learned so much from him, and I think it helped me greatly."

[senseiofthesea]

"You look happier. You were always a very quiet child and I'm glad he's helped you be more comfortable."

[gentledheart]

"I am, more comfortable that is." No matter how on the mark Iruka-sensei was about her general mood, it wasn't exactly something she could admit to. And covered her blatantly ignoring the comment by taking another sip of tea.

He gave her a sideways look at the pointed comment, then laughed softly. "Ah, that's very good then Hinata-san."

[gentledheart]

It was and she nods in agreement, her tea cup returning lightly to the table. She was glad that things had worked out as they did as much as anyone else.

He was quiet, just enjoying his tea for a time. "Are there any new developments in your life?"

[gentledheart]

"Not really, no. Just the usual responsibilities as the heir to a prominent clan." It wasn't like she'd been nominated for a promotion to jounin or a new engagement to contend with. Right now everything was fairly content and she was okay with that.

[senseiofthesea]

He laughed softly and inclined his head. "Then I suppose we have two pots of tea to drink."

[gentledheart]

"Yes we do. But maybe we should focus on finishing one? I don't think either of us would like to feel like we're swimming as we're leaving."

[senseiofthesea]

He peered at the pot for a moment, then grinned. "True. Maybe we should get some pastries, that should help."

[gentledheart]

Tilting her head Hinata thinks that over a moment. "What would you like to get Iruka-sensei?" Because she'd order something fairly sweet if the choice were left up to her and she wasn't sure Iruka would be alright with that.

[senseiofthesea]

He flashed her a bright smile. "I'm good with whatever you decide Hinata-san."

[gentledheart]

She smiles and flags a passing waiter to order a plate of their sweet pastries to share. "I hope you like sweet things." She murmurs as the waiter begins to move away, smiling slightly and waiting to see if her choice is acceptable.

"I do, not as much as other things but I can admit to a bit of a sweet tooth." He smiled at her and shook her head. "Don't worry, there's nothing here I dislike."

[gentledheart]

"Oh good." She relaxes and smiles widely. They were all set then when the pastries arrived moments later with little desert plates and she helped herself to a gooey pastry with white icing and fruit filling.

He looked distinctly interested, then picked on up himself to nibble on as he sipped. "Good choice, they go together."
