[Open, SUPER BACKDATED]
Who: Rock Lee and Everyone~~~
When: Backdated to mid-April through the rest of the month
Where: Several of the shinobi villages and their outskirts (all except Konoha and Ame)
Notes:After gaining leave from the hospital, Lee sets out on a journey to take some of his darker thoughts out of his mind. He decided to see the world, or at least visit all the other shinobi villages, and hoped he would find some solace while seeing old rivals and making new friends.
Sunagakure
The arid desert air was a relief to Lee. As much as he loved his home country it had been a harsh winter and spring, so the heat felt more natural despite the sand under his feet. With the warm atmosphere Lee knew he was bound to continue to grow stronger if he trained here. At the same time, he was also cautious not to grow dehydrated. When he wasn't out running the perimeter of the village or visiting with the family of the Kazekage, Lee could be found at local juice bars. Oddly, he seemed less inclined to greet strangers unless they spoke to him first.
Iwagakure
The land of earth was rugged but it felt more like home than the desert sands of Suna. Lee took to rock climbing with gusto; he was familiar with mountain climbing and pounding boulders with his fists but rarely did he get the chance to try his hand at the sheer cliffs he found around the land of Earth. The local cuisine was hardy yet simple and Lee found himself generally enjoying that.
Lee took to camping outside the village rather than finding proper lodgings. It was cold but he found peace in the solitude the quiet nights offered.
Kumogakure
With his wounds almost completely gone (though never gone forever, he had a hell of a scar) Lee thought it prudent to seek out the famous hot springs located in the land of Lightning. He splurged a bit, taking himself to some of the nicer lodges outside of the village. While he felt safe enough to travel by himself he knew there was still some strain between Kumo and Konoha. He did not want to incite any sparks due to bad blood.
Lee was starting to feel a bit more secure and smiled more often before he left.
Kirigakure
Lee was no longer afraid of damaging himself further now with his wounds closed so he made good on his promise to Naoki and visited the land of water. It was fun to play off the shore and swim all day then have a hearty meal of fish cooked right over a fire at the end of the nights. Lee finally felt like himself again and he wanted to take on the world, thought how he could advance was still an issue on his mind. At times he would lapse into silence but his smile was warm any time he caught the eye of a passerby.
[ooc: Lee will be visiting Ame during the attacks in May; he will return home after all of that cools down. Also, Lee spends 3 or 4 days in each given place but there's no need to specify any certain date.]

"Have you heard the one about the ugly duckling?" That was a story that always hit home for Lee, at least.

"There was a young duckling who did not look like his fellow ducklings in the pond. They laughed at him and called him ugly and would not play with him, so he set out to find someone who would be his friend. No matter how many ducks he approached, they all gave him the same responses and he was discourage. But as time passed, he found a very beautiful kind of duck, and he was too afraid to approach them at first. He thought, surely these beautiful creatures would not want to be my friends either. Discouraged, he watched them from afar until they left for the winter.
"He spent all winter alone and miserable, and he cursed himself for being such a coward. But when spring came and the birds all returned he plucked up his courage and went to talk with those pretty ducks. It was then that they explained they were actually swans, not ducks, and they told him he was not ugly. He was just as beautiful as they, for he had grown up and he had never been a duckling at all, but a cygnet. And he lived with them happily, glad to have found the true friends and family he always wanted."
It was a silly tale, a story for little children, but it was easily one of Lee's favorites.

He turned his head, smiling at him. "That's pretty deep for such a short story."

"I have always thought it was more about having the courage to find your own way of living," Lee said, giving a shrug of his shoulder. "One must not let the comments of others push them down. Perhaps one is simply in need of finding the right circle of friends to find acceptance."
Lee chuckled, rubbing a few strands of hair away from his forehead. "Of course, there is no need for just one answer, either. You have an interesting way of thinking, sir."

He gave the man a small smile. "Of course, some of us wish we were not so different as we are, but there is no helping nature."

"I could give you some pointers on how to train stubborn muscles, if you would like. I have always had a difficult time keeping up my muscle mass and strength, but I believe I have perfected the art after all these years."

Except when it was, but that was another matter entirely.

"Of course, it takes daily training, and pushing yourself past your limits at every chance! And not everyone is built for that, but there are still a few things that can be done as long as one is willing to train at least a little every day." Lee turned his back to reach behind him, dragging his bag closer to him. He left some of his extraneous items in his room but he had kept his training suit and weights just in case he felt like an after-bath run.
"I use these weights when I train. Actually, I use them everywhere, but during training is a must! You press yourself to grow stronger beyond what your body would normally manage to do on its own, and so you know you are working your muscles all the harder. Though it is best to start with just walking with them on. And making sure you do not over-burden yourself too quickly."

He grinned. Of course, what was inside them was still super heavy all on its own, but Lee was used to their weight at this point.
He looked over at Peter through the steam from the bath. "Want to try picking them up?"

"Well, if you wanted to start, you can get pretty simply weights and just fashion some simple holsters like mine and go about with them under your slacks! It is quite easy to gain muscles that way, and starting out slow is best."

"I did not think introductions would be necessary since we were just sharing a bath, but I would like to rectify that. My name is Rock Lee! It is a pleasure to meet you!"

He shifted, looking at him a bit more directly.

As far as Lee was concerned this meeting made them friends.
