[backdated to the first week of May]

Who: Kabuto and anyone who is interested in the visiting medic.
When : May 1st through 15th
Where: all around Konoha
Summary: Kabuto finishes up his trip by spending a month in the last place he wanted to return to. But it's a bad teacher who cannot hide his discomfort to teach willing students, so he does his best.

Konoha doesn't care about him. Its a relief, even if being completely forgotten by the consulate grated on his nerves. As always, healers were beneath notice unless actively needed, and there was other things on the mind of those in power than a weakling medic from a tiny village. Kabuto was content to follow the flow and be buffeted through the various layers of the huge Konoha beuacracy, to be sneered at and have his visa and bags scrutinized in every possible way. (Not that they found anything. These mooks were mere beuracrats, after all)

Even years later the sheer size of Konoha was impressive. It dwarfed the Oto, easily six times the size, a true city full of some of the most powerful clans and politicians in the entire ninja world.

And if things went as poorly as the rumors warned half of them would want to kill him.

But he wasn't going to think of that. He was here to meet people, to make friends and train under some of the best healers the world had ever seen. If he could give them some knowledge in return, all the better. Healers were healers, no matter their loyalty. So Kabuto is out and about, smiling, talking, giving and taking lectures...and never letting that knot of tension reach his face.

Naruto made a point of knowing every face in Konoha -- okay, not every face, Konoha was a big place!! but he definitely tried his best -- and this guy wasn't coming up on his radar as anyone he recognised in the slightest. He had to be a foreign-nin here on business, but Naruto forgot all about his errands for the day and instead found himself tottering on the rooftops after this guy, watching him go from pillar to post to talk to the people and offer his expertise.

Naruto was one of the only people who seemed to be blissfully avoiding the uneasy air of impending unrest, and it wasn't clear whether he genuinely wasn't aware of how serious things were getting or if he was putting on a strong face for the sake of his people, but.. eh. What did it matter? At the very least, it meant that Naruto wasn't afraid of strangers, so he jumped down from the roof he was perched on to catch up to the guy after he'd finished talking to a woman.

"Oiy," Polite as ever, Naruto shoves his hands in his pockets and squints at the stranger. "Never seen you before, have I?"
