[Open] It was like they were trying for a 'greatest hits of shinobi war' remake.
Where: Uzushio - Village Map
When: Evening of the 10th to the afternoon of the 12th.
Who: Anyone in or near Uzushio (Only a couple hours from the closest seal at a dead run)
Notes: Anyone is welcome to jump in here from either side of the conflict! All players are welcome to post top levels to this post for the situation.
The siege, for those that had lived through the last one, wasn't the same. Last time Uzushio had fallen, there had been inside attackers, and the coordination had been flawless. Last time, the people of Uzushio had relied on the rocky waters to keep them safe, and hadn't put too much more work into making sure that their defenses would withstand the tide of people coming at them from all sides.
This time, Uzushio had been built to weather anything people could dish out... and it was proving to be needed as the shinobi came down from the north like a tide, on the rivers and over land. It was like waves, with a crest of people before it trickled off, uncoordinated in a way only those from different places could manage, before another surge broke against the walls of Uzushio. The sealmasters, being the bulk of those who had returned to their village, had started rigging traps the day Konoha had sent people over, so it wasn't until the next morning that the last of the pre-set traps went off, and the waiting shinobi had to engage in proper combat as the enemy started to get in.
Proper reinforcements wouldn't arrive until the morning of the 12th to help drive the enemy off.

Early morning of the 12th. Anyone who wants to roll up on him is welcome.
Uzushio?
Kushina and Karin were both there, from what he was currently understanding, and while he hesitated... he was careful to make sure the borders of the country were well patrolled, then went. It took longer than he cared for, but his presence was announced by a slam of his hand, sending dozens flying before following it with a hail of shrapnel.
Uzushio had people he knew and cared about, and clearly their allies of Konoha weren't there yet to help them. He'd return home as soon as this was... dealt with.
After the battle, once Uzu is safe?
He had spotted the red-haired stranger during the fighting and once it was over and Konoha's forces had their new assignments, and word was sent to Obito to assure him of Uzushio's safety, Gai was quick to seek out the man and both thank him for his help during the battle...and become better acquainted with their odd ally. In these times, with everything that had gone on with the fliers and the attack on Konoha, he wanted to know who they were working with--if they were trustworthy--and have a name to put with the face and the powers.
"Hello! I saw you during battle! That was quite impressive!" He held out a hand, offering it to shake.

"It was minimal for what was needed." It was a murmur, and he turned, facing him fully, looking him over.

"How modest!" Gai struck a pose with thumbs up as he was looked over. "My name is Maito Gai! You are not a member of Uzushio, are you!"
no subject
Even now, it was a name little known beyond his village, let alone his country.
no subject
"Nagato!" He tried to make note of the name to ask Obito about later. Perhaps this was an ally they needed to make sure to keep. "It is a pleasure to meet you! On behalf of Konoha, thank you for your assistance!"

These people were trying to hurt his friend, and this time, he didn't feel the least built guilty or sick about hurting them back. A wave of water pushed a group back, and Juugo followed it back up with arms extended into their fluid chain forms, slamming down hard enough that the ground cracked beneath those so hit.

He wasn't going to stop, though. These men were going to hurt Karin if they got closer to Uzushio, and Juugo wasn't going to let it happen. His arms became blades and hammers as he whirled, laying out enemies with hardly a thought to his own safety. When opponents' attacks got through the toughened skin he kept like armor, Juugo didn't pause. No time.

Then again, Nagato was hardly without his own war path, and the constant influx of enemy was keeping him busy enough. He'd left his Paths behind on purpose, it was true, but the enemy was probably regretting that.

But after an attack like that, Juugo needed a moment to gather his bearings, even if the enemies were worse off.

"Good?"
no subject
"Not badly hurt. There are so many."
Juugo's brows creased. He'd never fought so many at once, even that one time when they'd mean to attack Rain and caught Lee on the border.
no subject
"Though it seems we might have to give chase, they're trying to find other ways in."
no subject
"I know. I wish there was a way to just catch them all and hold them still so they can't hurt anyone."
But that news made him scowl. "Where are they?"
He could sense so many people, but not knowing them personally, it was so hard to really pick out who was who.

With a sense of purpose, Juugo started west, knowing that Nagato would lead the way.

He’s not completely sure, though. There’s a lot he doesn’t know. But if Uzushio was going to war, wouldn’t Karin have told them?
