The adventures of errand running (Open)
Who: Pengin and You!
When: March 14 to whenever he returns to Uzushio
Where: Uzushio starting out and then a slow meander through Fire Country to Konoha
Notes: Pengin gets to go collect a clan-kin's shopping from Konoha. Because that's what you do with younger clansmen right? (I apologize for the stuttering he'll do now, also top levels for a few general locations you can run into the penguin)

Uzushiogakure
It didn't really matter at present as he scurried back and forth to make certain he was actually allowed to go on this trip and get everything situated in the process. His group leader really needed to stop buying swords from various other countries when he wasn't able to go and pick them up himself.

In her travels, she managed to miss the blip of chakra on her senses and walk right into, or was it trip over? Whatever there was a collision of sorts in any case maybe it was a rock and she just stumbled into the tiny boy as a result she wasn't entirely sure but there was definitely a child-sized boy in front of her. "Are you hurt?" She asks gaze aimed down toward the boy instead of barreling on her way like it never happened at all.

"I-i'm fine, a-and I'm really sorry for r-running into you miss."
Doesn't matter if it was or wasn't his fault as he's already bowing and apologizing. Hands already tugging on his ear flaps nervously.

"I-it's a-alright. Not m-many look down."
And there's an attempt at a smile, though it's shaky it's still geniune.
"I-i r-really am alright. T-thank you for asking t-though."

"I should know better," she'd been on eo the smallest once upon a time. Not as small as him but small all the same.
But he's smiling even if only tentatively, so it can't be all bad.
"I'm Karin," she offers figuring that since he wasn't familiar to her she probably hadn't met the boy yet, which was a nice change of pace when one realized that Karin knew most everyone. "And I'm glad you're not hurt."

It wasn't the first time he's been bumped or accidentally punted by an over excitable clan-kin flying into a room.
"P-pengin of the Maniwa clan. N-nice to meet you." His smile firms a little more as he bows his head in polite greeting.

But her lips spread into a smile when he returns the introduction and nearly chuckles when he bows his head. Such a formal and adorable child. "You too Pengin." She pauses thoughtful and then stands up, not out of disrespect but it was starting make her knees hurt crouched down like that. "Where were you headed? Maybe I can help keep you from getting run over again."

The slight flapping of his arms at the thought of bothering someone is only stopped when he nervously tugs at the ear flaps of his cap.
"I-i'm just collecting travel supplies is all."

Even if his body language is saying the opposite, he's at least attempting a smile with his answer.
"Ah, I-i'm Pengin of the Maniwa. Nice to meet you."

"N-no it's n-not strange. I think it's unique. Having a name no one else may have c-can be fun."

Today, though, Masanori was content enough to allow it. Tomorrow, he would put on yet another performance to push his lessons along. It was as he was considering that someone crossed his path and he paused, manju falling into his palm and grasped smoothly as he blinked rapidly at th oddly dressed younger boy, his eyes looking for a hitai-ate or some other identifier. Definitely not from Konoha. With that sort of fashion, he'd have known him by now, after all.
"Looking for something?" He asked, straightening and canting his head to one side curiously. Just what do we have here?
no subject
"U-hhm yes. I-i'm supposed to p-pick up a weapons order, but was only given the name of the place to go on."
And he realizes how forward that was and flails a bit before backpedaling.
"I-i mean if you have t-time to give me directions. I-i wouldn't want t-to impose."
no subject
"Under one condition," he said, his tone serious.
no subject
It was like haggling with a merchant wihout ever knowing what the product was you were haggling over.
"W-what sort of condition are y-you offering?"
no subject
"You have to call me 'sempai.' That's the condition. Take it or leave it!"
no subject
"I-if there isn't t-too much t-trouble Sempai-san I-i would appreciate help in finding a particular location."
The bow was likely not needed but if he was going to go through with this it couldn't hurt to add extra politeness into it all.
no subject
"Sure thing, Kinmaru-kun," he replied, nodding. "Where are you trying to go? Oh, and I'll tell you what! I'll even see that you get there alright. It's the least I can do as your sempai, ne?"
