Flu Season! ... Wait, that's not a good thing.
Where: Konohagakure
When: February 10th - 19th
Notes: The flu has hit Konoha and Adela is one of many victims! It doesn't seem so bad at first, but after a while it really starts to get to her. And being bedridden for any reason, let alone illness, isn't fun.
FEBRUARY 10th - SASUKE UCHIHA ONLY
Maybe it was because the weather had been unusually cold with lots of heavy snow, or maybe it was because of a bug being brought in from the returning ninja from the chuunin exams. Either way, it seemed like she was starting to come down with something fast and it made her unhappy beyond belief. But, she'd fight against the conflicting feelings of being far too hot and chilled to the bone, dressing for the weather and sniffling in a feeble attempt to breathe. It was just a cold, she told herself -- she'd be able to fight through that for the spar, and have a good long rest after.
It was then that Adela reached the training field, a little early and beginning to stretch even as she started to feel dizzy. Her stomach was turning uncomfortably too, but that was probably just loss of appetite from the cold, right? Right. She'd wait for Sasuke to show up, and spar like normal. That'd get her blood flowing, and that'd help her feel better. Yeah...
FEBRUARY 11TH TO 19TH - OPEN
Stuck in bed with the flu, a high fever, an upset stomach, and bed-rest orders coming from everyone around her. That was one recipe to make Adela exceedingly grumpy with life, and she coughed weakly before reaching for the tea beside her to help soothe her throat. This crap was sweet, but it really did help her throat feel even slightly less sore than before, so it was helpful. Even if she didn't like it that much.
The smallest of sighs left her as she tried to adjust the swiftly-warming cloth on her head, longing for it to be cool once more and longing to just be healthy again. There would be no fast way, not for this though. She kind of felt like she wanted to die, but that was dramatic -- the illness was miserable, but she knew it'd get better. Even if it didn't feel like it, and even if her stomach was having trouble holding down much more than crackers, tea, water, and soup.
The knocking on her bedroom door made her head pound, and she groaned audibly before sniffling and glancing to it, flushed with fever and trying to crawl out from under her blankets a bit so she could support herself on her elbow. Her voice was weak when answering, weak and sore when at last she asked, "Who is it...?"

While she ate, he settled himself a little more comfortably at the end of her bed, the pot in his lap, between his crossed legs. His mother had warned him about coming here (after she'd teased him about a crush he definitely didn't have
probably) but seeing Adela's smile when he entered the room, and seeing her eat with gusto now was enough to make him sure this was a good idea.no subject
After a beat she sighed, shifting to get back into the bed as she replaced her face mask, "Sorry, Kiba... It's really good, but I don't think I can eat anymore right now."

He looked back up at her once the delicates were safe on the floor, his elbows on his knees. "So how did you get this sick in the first place, anyways?"
no subject
But, at least she was getting some nice visitors.
"You sure you're gonna be okay in here, Kiba...?"
no subject
"Whaddya mean?--" he asked, then his obliviousness caught up with him, and he flapped a hand. "Pfft- the sickness thing? Yeah, don't worry about me. So long as you don't go breathing on me or anything, we should be okay."
no subject
"Being sick really sucks."

So it was almost instinctive of him to crawl up the bed till he could fit at her side, and lift his arm so she could pillow herself against him.
"I'm pretty warm-blooded naturally," he explained matter-of-factly. "C'mere, it'll warm you up."

Her eyes were closed and even if they weren't she couldn't see him anyway - whether it was because she was feverish or because her filter was just off for the moment, she couldn't help the next words that slipped from her lips, "Wish I had gotten a crush on you when I was younger instead of Senpai... You're really nice, and cool..."
no subject
A crush on him? That-- sure was something.
"Heh..." he muttered awkwardly, glancing down at her sleepy face for a second before flushing darker and looking away. "...Shh, don't talk like that. You sound sleepy, you can nap here if you want."

He opened his eyes a little later and as he looked around the room he realised that the sun had set a little lower in the sky, leaving a dim yellow light across the room... Had he fallen asleep? His face felt tight and weary, and as he tried to move to rub his eyes a weight on his shoulder stopped him and he looked down to see Adela's bright red hair.
Oh, well that sure had happened.
