[Open] This is not what he'd expected from today.
Where: Academy and surrounding areas.
When: Starting just after noon on the 3rd, goes all day.
Who: Anyone who wanders in
Notes: Iruka had not planned to cover explosive tags today.
The first explosion had come from the far end of the building, and hadn't immediately set off any alarms. Another teacher might have had a mishap while teaching something about sealing.
The second explosion had all of the students tense, and the third had them hurrying out of their desks as he waved them in. Just in time too, because it wasn't a moment later that there was another boom, just overhead, and some of the recently vacated seats had rubble blown into them. It wouldn't have killed anyone, that he could tell, but he didn't know how many more were coming, and he wasn't going to risk the safety of the kids, even as more explosions sounded from beyond the Academy walls.
It was bad, the whole situation was very bad, and he snatched up one of the girls when another blast knocked her off her feet, keeping track to make sure that everyone was with him as he hurried them to the underground parts of the building. It was rarely used for anything but storage, but if the explosions were all coming from the roof, it would be the safest place until he was sure that they'd stopped.
The kids resisted staying put, of course, and as soon as he made sure everyone was uninjured and would not leave the area, he hurried out to help the other teachers as well. His kids would be okay, but he needed to get outside, and make sure that the people out there didn't need help too.
Some of the younger students had been scheduled for Taijutsu practice around that time, and he had no idea how bad it would be. The teacher in charge of them was new, and when he got out there, he was right to be concerned. It was chaos. And not just at the Academy either.

Gale stands, looking at all the rubble and dust. "I cannot work at my best here. Is there somewhere close that is relatively undamaged? Also how many share your general proficiency level or have excellent chakra control?"

Gale pulls out a scroll as he talks, looking over the seals on it and making a mental list of what he'll need to get this done. The seals might not be standard to the rest of the world, but they're elegant and obviously effective.

He looked to him. "I'm not putting my kids at further risk."

Gale walked quickly, pulling out what he needed as they got to a suitable space. He sliced his palm open to bleed into the ink--that was ink, right?--and bandaged himself before starting to draw out the seal. It was complicated, and a medic would recognize it as a variant of an advanced medical seal usually used only for very grievous injuries where large portions of tissue needed to be repaired. Gale explained the different portions of the seal as he wrote it out, and how they worked together to allow a group to heal instead of just one. The adjustments allowed the seal to funnel the healing into smaller wounds instead of just major tissue regeneration, but obviously required someone very skilled to control it.
"I will set it to be manned by three. If there are more that can assist, we can rotate."
Except unless another seal expert or advanced medic arrived, Gale wouldn't be able to rotate and would take the brunt of the strain anyway, even if it would be marginally better than doing healings all on his own.

But Gale continued working on the last touches so that all would be ready when the first child was placed in the center. He was certain it would work, but for how many? The seal would ease the strain, but so many were hurt.

"Put our patient in the center, and be careful not to disturb the ink. Someone will also be needed to man each point. In simple terms, all that will be required of you will be to mold chakra and push it into the seal at a steady, controlled rate. The seal, and myself, can manage the rest."

At one he presses his hands to the ink, and starts the process. It takes all his concentration, but the seal works like it's supposed to and the child's injuries start healing. However, once the injuries have almost fully healed, Gale stops.
"The rest can be dealt with using bandages and ointments, and convalescence period should be short. We should save our chakra for the more serious injuries. Could someone see that this child's care is completed, so we can get started healing the next?"

But his stamina isn’t limitless, so eventually Gale has to call a rest. Hopefully they’ve taken care of the most life-threatening injuries by now…
“How many are left?”

The hunger was worse than the thirst. He’d have to go out and walk the roads with Argilla soon and hope to be set upon by some bandits. Gale absently rubbed at the brand on his calf with the thought.

The juice boxes got a look over like Gale wasn’t quite sure what to do with them, and after a moment Gale just cut a corner off with his kunai instead of attempting to use the attached straw. From the expression of pleased surprise, he certainly hadn’t been expecting the flavor. Most of the snacks were ignored completely, but Gale did dig into some jerky. When he was finished, he drank some more water and then stood.
“That is better, but we should continue. Is everyone else finished resting?”
